Position Title: Payroll Coordinator
Location: Toronto
Compensation: 63,000 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Description: Monthly payroll for 205 employees, both unionized and non-unionized
Preparing year-end employee tax forms and submitting government filings to meet deadlines
Prepare remittances for pension contributions, benefits and union dues payable
Maintain records on employee absenteeism
Ensure databases are set up and reflect the current employee base, including salaries, hourly wages, benefits and pension contributions/percentages, vacation accrual and sick bank
Other general duties as assigned
Job Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience in full cycle payroll
Strong proficiency in MS applications including Excel, Powerpoint, Word
Working towards PCP designation is an asset
Knowledge of ADP Payroll system considered an asset.
Knowledge of Federal and Provincial legislation related to Payroll
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
