Position Title: SMT Operator
Location: Markham
Compensation: TBD
Hours: 35-40 hours per week
Job Description: Assist and participate in daily operations of SMT production lines;  responsible for set up, operation and maintenance of the SMT line, including preventative maintenance. 
Daily operation of SMT placement equipment:
SMT machine and feeder loading and teardown
Parts taping and reeling when required
Hand place SMT parts and verify board assembly prior to reflow – when required
Ensure parts are installed on board as per Bill of Materials (BOM)
Ensure workmanship conforms to IPC 610 standards
Set-up Screen Printer including locating the proper stencil.
Set-up the reflow oven including loading the proper profile.
Assist QA inspectors with first article inspections
Provide support to other SMT operators when required
Audit kits delivered from Inventory
Troubleshoot equipment in an effective and efficient manner as per work instructions to reduce equipment down time
Perform scheduled maintenance of workstations and equipment to optimize process performance
Other tasks pertaining to SMT feeder loader process, as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
2 Positions Available  Morning Shift
Job Requirements: Post-secondary technical education (2 year Diploma or equivalent experience)
Previous SMT equipment operation experience;  hands-on experience with SMT process, solder paste, stencils, inspection and soldering
Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole and SMT components, drawings and bill of materials (BOMS)
Organized and detail oriented
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills in both written and oral English
Computer literate (i.e.  Windows, Excel, Word)
