Position Title: Camp Supervisor
Location: Mississauga
Compensation: $14.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Description: Camp Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, well-being, and safety of all campers. Reporting to the Program Director, this position will support our  mission to create an exceptional camp experience. The Camp Supervisor will assist with the training, supervision, and evaluation of the Camp Counselors and Counselors in Training.

Specific Accountabilities:
Supervise all counselors, providing schedules of duty days, activities, excursions and responsibilities to counselors
Nurture a positive program environment by leading, motivating and developing strong teams
Ensure all facilities, equipment and programs are managed in accordance with the practices of our company 
Assist in creating a community that is conducive to campers personal success
Ensure staff members are appropriately confronting and documenting behavioral issues and concerns
Provide availability to situations that develop in the camp as it relates to logistics, emotional distress, discipline violations, accidents, physical or mental illness, etc. while collaborating with the Program Director
Following a pre-established framework, organize and run activities for students on a daily basis and weekend excursions/activities as well as weekly staff meetings
Follow the emergency procedure for medical and other applicable issues
Document weekly communication for parents and campers through a weekly newsletter
Coordinate attendance with Program Director
Provide formal and informal evaluation and feedback regarding performance and expectations to the counselors as well as coaching and mentoring

Job Requirements: Post-Secondary Education at the university level required, Bachelor of Education preferred
Previous employment at a camp is a necessity
Second or multiple languages are considered a strong asset
Work experience in an academic/camp settings and/or experience with international students considered an asset
Experience building relationships with peers, students, parents and staff
Versatile and dynamic in running group activities
Able to deal with emergencies calmly and effectively
Valid Ontario Driver’s License required to get to and from the campsite
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR – C (certified on, or after May. 2020) is required
Successful candidates must be able to attend pre-program prep meetings, including a required training session prior to the program start date
As a condition of employment, a criminal record check with a vulnerable sector screening is required
